The Board of Trustees is sad to announce the death of Dr. Dolores O. Morris.
Dr. Dolores served on one of our task forces for four years before agreeing to serve as a trustee last year. Earlier than this, Dolores was an important source of knowledge and competence as ACPEinc developed its standards for competence in psychoanalysis, which resulted in her co-authored (with Rafael Art. Javier) book, Special Competencies in Psychoanalysis in Psychology. She also served on the task force that developed the ACPEinc Graduation Review procedure. Many of us on the board knew her because of the many other “hats” she wore over a long and distinguished career. She will be missed by the entire psychoanalytic community. See below her obituary from NYU Postdoc Program where she taught for many years.
